The County will consider adopting revised regulations applicable to domestic water and wastewater projects and municipal and industrial water projects wholly or partially located in Park County (“Water Project 1041 Regulations”) during a public hearing on March 17, 2026 at 1 PM.  The public draft of the revisions is available HERE.  The County welcomes comments before or during the public hearing. Comments on the draft 1041 Regulations may be submitted to County.Administration@parkcountyco.gov

The County will also be hosting two roundtable meetings to gather community feedback on the draft regulations. The first meeting will take place on Monday, February 9 at 5pm in the Fairplay Administration Building BOCC Boardroom. The second meeting is planned for Friday, February 13 at 3pm in the Platte Canyon Fire Station Meeting Room. 

Comments received by March 2^nd  will be included in the hearing packet and, if appropriate, may be incorporated into a second draft of the regulations that would be issued one week before the public hearing (March 10). Comments received from March 2-10^th will be included in the public hearing packet. Comments received by noon on March 16^th will be forwarded to the BOCC but may not receive full consideration. Members of the public may also provide comments during the public hearing.
