The primary need is for 9-1-1 emergency responses. Park County is a large county geographically and a valid physical address is a necessity for public safety. Secondarily, you also need a physical address for general location, package delivery, and especially inspections during the development process.GIS Mapping - Addressing

You should apply for an address assignment when you first start development, such as when applying for a driveway permit or attempting to have utilities installed. Inspectors will require you to post the physical address so that they can find your property. Please Note: We do not assign addresses to vacant land. Only when the development process begins will we provide you a physical address.GIS Mapping - Addressing

Please contact us at (719) 836-4287, to verify the address listed on your deed is correct. Occasionally deeds carry an inaccurate address that needs to be updated. Note: Physical addresses on warranty deeds are for convenience only. The legal description is what legally describes your property. Not the physical address.GIS Mapping - Addressing

If your property is located inside of a platted subdivision we require your tax schedule number and your legal description. If your property is not located inside a subdivision and is less than 35 acres, we require a copy of the current warranty deed complete with full legal description (metes and bounds) and a copy of the warranty deed with the matching legal description recorded prior to January 1, 1975. We will also accept a copy of a recorded resolution indicating approval for an exemption from subdivision. If your property is not located inside of a subdivision and is over 35 acres we need to know your schedule number, legal description, and where your permanent driveway will be located. We need to know where your permanent driveway will be located in order to provide you an accurate address.GIS Mapping - Addressing
