Microchips

Park County Animal Control has recently started offering microchips! Microchips are another great way to ensure your pup is tied to you and will help them get home safely if they get out. While we never plan for our pets to get out, it’s always best to be prepared!

$50 includes microchip and lifetime registration

$55 includes microchip and lifetime registration + 1 yr sterilized dog license (intact pets will still get a discount)

Owner Surrender

We understand that sometimes life changes and things happen unexpectedly. We will work with owners to help find resources that assist with their needs, but if all other options don’t work out, we will accept owner surrenders for a fee. Animal Control will then hold your pet in our facility until we are able to transport your pet to another shelter where they will work to find it a new home.

Cremation

Park County Animal Control offers cremation services. We offer both private and communal cremation and pricing is dependent upon weight and type of service. Please call 719-836-4380 for scheduling.

Equipment Rental

• Traps: Small, medium and large available, $75 refundable deposit required.
  • Cat and dog traps are available for rental. We can assist with instructions on use and placement.
• Plastic crate/carriers-$50 refundable deposit required.
• Availability may be limited on all equipment.

  NOTE: We do not have a cat program through Park County Animal Control, however we can provide references.
