[ARCHIVED] County Manager’s Update: Park County: Congratulations to Our Commissioners and Focus on Unity

What's New Park County Manager's Weekly Update

Park County, CO - I extend my warmest congratulations to our newly elected commissioner and our returning incumbent commissioner. Your commitment to public service and the trust placed in you by the residents of Park County is a testament to your dedication and hard work.

As we step into this new chapter, it is essential to underscore the importance of collaboration and unity. The relationship between the Board of County Commissioners and the County Manager is pivotal to achieving our shared vision for Park County’s growth and prosperity. By fostering an environment of mutual respect, open communication, and collective problem-solving, we can ensure that the needs and aspirations of our residents are met with the highest standards of service and leadership.

Together, we have the unique opportunity to build upon the foundation laid by those who came before us, addressing current challenges and preparing for the future. Let us work as a cohesive team, dedicated to the well-being and progress of Park County. Our shared efforts will pave the way for a thriving community, where every resident has the chance to succeed and contribute to a bright and sustainable future.

As we approach the formal budget presentation on November 19th, I want to acknowledge the dedicated efforts of our county staff in preparing this year’s budget under challenging circumstances. Crafting a balanced budget requires thorough analysis, resource prioritization, and tireless commitment, and our team has worked diligently to ensure that Park County’s needs are met effectively and responsibly.

I also recognize that in the weeks ahead, the Board of County Commissioners will face significant and potentially difficult decisions as they review and deliberate on the proposed budget. These decisions will have lasting impacts on our community and the services we provide. It is crucial to approach this process with careful consideration, transparency, and a shared commitment to serving the best interests of our residents.

We strongly encourage community members to participate in this important process. The budget presentation will take place during the regular BOCC meeting on November 19th, and residents can attend either in person or virtually via Zoom. Your engagement and input are invaluable as we navigate these fiscal decisions that shape the future of Park County.

Thank you to the residents of Park County for your support, understanding, and active involvement in this process as we work together to build a sustainable and resilient future for our community. Once again, congratulations to our commissioners. I look forward to a productive term filled with meaningful accomplishments for the betterment of Park County.
