As part of the recently voter-approved lodging sales tax in unincorporated Park County a full 10% of the 6% lodging sales tax that will be collected must be used for the purpose of advertising and marketing local tourism in unincorporated Park County.
Mission
The mission of the Tourism Advisory Board, with the guidance of the BOCC, will be to administer the portion of the fund that the County Commissioners identify as being available for advertising and marketing local tourism (10% as stated in the ballot issue). The Tourism Board will have up to seven members. These members must be individuals from the tourism industry within unincorporated Park County.
