Affordable Housing Board
The Affordable Housing Board will consist of nine members with demonstrable experience in housing and regulatory environment. Preference will be given to individuals with the following experience:
- Registered or certified civil engineer or architect
- Planner
- Licensed real estate broker
- Representative of a lending institution that finance residential development
- Representative of the local housing authority
- Residential builder with extensive experience in producing single-family or multi-family dwelling units
- Representative of either public works or planning department
- Representative of a nonprofit organization
- In addition, one or more members without demonstrating experience in housing matters.
Mission
The mission of the affordable Housing board, with the guidance of the BOCC, will be to address the housing issues and needs of low- and moderate-income, promote a full range of housing choices and develop effective policies to encourage the construction and existence of affordable housing options.
